This has to do with convictions and commitments of social and economic actors, and also in the field of self-employment, said Diaz-Canel, when participating in the television program Mesa Redonda.

The Head of State called to fight against behaviors that are not emancipatory and to work in favor of the ethics that should distinguish Cuban society.

The great lesson of the Revolution is to go constantly to the people, because in it we have a source of wisdom (...) Creating is the continuous duty of a people. Cuba has created itself despite the difficulties, said the president in the program, in which members of the Council of Ministers participated.

Díaz-Canel recalled that the increase in salary to the budgeted sector is part of measures aimed at improving the standard of living of Cubans and advance the socio-economic development of the island.

He also said that these decisions take place amid the worsening of the economic, financial and commercial blockade that for almost 60 years the United States has maintained against Cuba.

Among the measures in favor of national development are also to boost national production, diversify and increase exports, replace imports, promote productive linkages, strengthen state enterprise and advance food sovereignty. (Cadenagramonte)
