Raúl Castro and Díaz-Canel spoke with Vietnamese Vice President

Photo: CadenagramonteHavana, July 10. - The first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, Raúl Castro, and the president of the Councils of State and of Ministers in the Caribbean nation, Miguel Díaz-Canel, received the vice president of Vietnam, Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh.
During the friendly meeting, the parties discussed the intimate ties of brotherhood that unite the two peoples, parties and governments, as well as the respective experiences in the construction of socialism, according to an official note.
They also talked about the excellent state of bilateral relations and the implementation of agreements between Vietnam and Cuba, and on issues on the international agenda.
The visitor was accompanied by Giang Pao My, first secretary of the Provincial Party Committee of Lai Chau province; and Nguyen Trung Thanh, Vietnam's ambassador to Cuba.
For the Antillean side, Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez and the island's ambassador in the Asian country, Lianys Torres, participated in the meeting.
Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh began on Monday an official visit to the largest of the Antilles, which, according to the national press, will last until Thursday.
As part of her agenda, the Vietnamese Vice President also met with the first vice president of Cuba, Salvador Valdés, in a meeting in which both reiterated the will to strengthen economic and trade ties between the two countries.
He also visited the western Mariel Special Development Zone (ZEDM) and verified the progress of the industrial park Vimariel, S.A. First Vietnamese capital concessionaire in that enclave.
Similarly, the official toured in the western province of Pinar del Rio programs of the food sector that are developed in that territory. (Cadenagramonte)
