Photo: CadenagramonteHavana, Aug. 14. - The Main Postal Technology Center of the Correos de Cuba Company has just presented a new digital service, to track the shipments made through the Universal Postal Service, from when they are imposed in the country of origin until that arrive at the post office of Cuba where the recipient must pick it up.
This service, which can be accessed directly from the Post Office of Cuba or from its apk, expands the current one, which only allows the tracking from when it arrives in our country until it is delivered to the recipient, or from which it is imposed on Post offices abroad.
According to a statement published in the Facebook profile of the Business Group, customers and users will now be able to visualize the crossing and location of the package from placing a specific bar code number on the service tracker, which increases efficiency levels of that management.
The process will take about a month, also depending on other elements, such as customs procedures in each country or the organization of the airlines where the shipments travel.
Four programmers and two engineers from the Main Postal Technology Center participated in the development of the new product. They are Gisellys Núñez Alemán, head of the Development Department; Hiramis Mur Ocampo, in charge of Technical Support; Miguel Betancourt, engineer and analyst, and programmers Alain Alea Boffil, Leonardo Estrada Cubela, Ariel García Verano and Ernesto González.
