Photo: ACN.Havana, Nov 6.- Surgical treatment of congenital malformations, lithiasis by minimally invasive methods and pediatric and adolescent urology, are topics of the XXI Urology Congress 2017, which begins today in this capital.
In exclusive with the Cuban News Agency, Dr. Emilio Cordies Jackson, specialist of II Degree in Pediatric Urology and chairman of the organizing committee of the meeting, based at the Havana Convention Center, explained that it will be a favorable opportunity to exchange criteria about the most updated procedures in the world.
The professor specified that also the Cuban and foreign specialists will make an update on the Oncological Surgery; the Imaginology and uses of Nuclear Medicine; Urological Nursing; Andrology; and Vesicourethral Dysfunction, among other topics.
Renowned experts of the world in this field will participate in the forum, which will run until November 9 and includes six pre-congress courses, which will take place at the Convention Center and institutions of the capital.
Among the invited Professors are Doctors Gaetano Ciancio, Gopal Badlani, Manoj Monga, Edmund Sabanegh, Wayne Hellstron and Rafael Gozalbez, all from the United States, as well as Simon Tanguay, from Canada, and Jorge Gutiérrez Aceves, from Mexico, announced the organizing committee.
José Manuel Cozar Olmo, Manuel Esteban Fuertes and José Uroz Tristán, from Spain, and Reynaldo Gómez and Ricardo Zubieta (Chile) are included in the list.
In parallel, the III Pediatric Urology Conference, the V Ibero-American Meeting Endourology, Shock Waves and Laparoscopic Surgery in Urology, and the III International Conference on Urological Nursing will be held.
The International Society of Urology, the American Confederation and the European Association of that specialty will participate in the congress, which will develop a symposium, announced the Doctor in Sciences Tania González León, president of the scientific committee. (ACN)
