Photo: ArchiveHavana, Cuba, Nov 27.- Cuba lost 0-2 to Venezuela in the third round for Group B of the Pan American U23 Baseball Championship, taking place in Panama.
It was a magnificent pitching duel won by Venezuelan Cesar Yanez, who allowed only four hits in 7 innings, while his rival and loser, Yosimar Cousin, was also good when surrendering only one run and three hits in 6 innings.
The Cuban side only batted six hits and thus lost its undefeated status as they previously beat Argentina and Brazil.
The Pan American U23 Baseball Championship is attended by 12 squads and grants four tickets to the 2018 World Cup. (Cadenagramonte)
