Propose the visual arts in Camagüey

Photo: Cadenagramonte.Camagüey, 11 Jan.- Camagüey´s subsidiary of the Hermanos Saíz Association (AHS) will host this evening the opening of the Salon of Visual Arts V gesture, with musical accompaniment by the Quintet Santa Cecilia.
The event arose from the need to create a circuit that promote and represent the work of young artists of the plastic in the territory, whether or not affiliated to the Association, in a press conference this Wednesday.
The importance of the increased integration of artistic education in the competition, was recognized by Yunielkis Naranjo, president of the AHS in the province, in response to the need to strengthen the promotion of novel talents and creators.
For this fifth edition were admitted 20 Of the 50 works submitted, with a higher quality than previous editions; and eight of them belong precisely to students of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts Vicentina de la Torre, of this Code.
Theoretical sessions, audiovisual presentations, performances, among other proposals make up the program, in which the usual meeting between generations "Narrowing spaces", which will be this Friday at 11:00 in the morning, two prestigious exponents of the visual arts in Camagüey: Joel Jover and Ileana Sánchez.
Participants in the room will compete for the main prize, which consists in the financing for the production of a work, with an amount of up to six thousand pesos.
"V" will conclude on Sunday 14 January in the House of the Young Creator of Camagüey, with the delivery of the prizes and the presentation of a catalog of the most outstanding artists in the Visual Arts section of the AHS. (Cadenagramonte)
