Cuban Parliament Reaffirms Solidarity With Palestine Cause

Photo: Cadenagramonte.Havana, Jan 24.- Ana Maria Mari Machado, vice president of the National Assembly of People's Power (ANPP), ratified Cuba's solidarity with the cause of the Palestinian people, according to the website of the national parliament.
Mari Machado reaffirmed yesterday the Cuban stance by receiving a delegation from the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine at the ANPP headquarters, led by Fahed Sulaiman, its deputy secretary general.
'The Palestinian cause is also ours,' assured the deputy and explained that for this reason in spaces of projection of foreign policy, Cuba corroborates its support for this brother people.
In this regard, said that the Antillean country will always be on the side of justice and recalled the statement made in December by the International Relations Commission of the ANPP in rejection of the decision of US President Donald Trump, to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and move your embassy to that city.
Mari Machado stressed the importance of the people's unity to achieve success in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and, in that sense, recalled the teaching of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, who considered it a fundamental pillar.
The Palestinian delegation was made up of Abu Bachar, member of the Political Bureau of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, and Walid Abu Khorj, party's representative.
On the Cuban side, also participated the president of the International Relations Commission of the Cuban parliament, Yolanda Ferrer Gómez, and the official of the Legislative Auxiliary Offices, Yuniel Flores Aguia. (Cadenagramonte)
