Starts Camagüey´s Culture Week

Photo: Cadenagramonte.Camagüey, Feb 1.- With the traditional parade through the streets of the historic center of the city, led by professional and amateur artistic groups, began the activities for the Week of the Camagüeyan Culture, that until the day 7 February 504 celebrates the anniversary of the foundation of the once Town of Santa María del Puerto del Príncipe.
In this first day will be inaugurated the 12th International Symposium on Challenges in the handling and management of cities, which will open with a keynote of Luis Alvarez Alvarez, prestigious Camagüey´s academics recently awarded with the National Prize of Literature in 2017.
With the participation of teachers, students and intellectuals of the territory, will be opening at the same time, the event Histo-Camaguey, dedicated to historical research.
Also included in the inaugural program, the presentation of the magazine paths of the imprint the villager, and the opening of the personal exposure of the painter and ceramist Nazario Salazar, in the gallery Fidelio Ponce of the Office of the Historian of the City.
In the afternoon there will be a meeting of wheel of casino, which will host the Culture House of Joaquín de Agüero, in this capital.
The City hall will also open its doors at 8:30 p.m., at the headquarters of the Provincial Council of the Arts.
At 9:00 p.m. will be formally inaugurated the Week of the Camagüeyan Culture, with the reading of the side from the balconies of the Municipal Government, the former Town Hall, a tradition that regulates the development of the festivities.
The opening gala of the week is reserved for the 10:00 p.m. in the Avellaneda Theater, the colophon of the first day of the celebrations for the birthday of the city of Camagüey. (Cadenagramonte)
