Photo: PLGuantanamo, Cuba, Mar 28.- The 10th Guantanamo-Dominican Republic Educators Meeting taking place in this eastern city continues today its working sessions, under the slogan ''Culture, history, identity. For a Latin American and Caribbean pedagogy of excellence.''

An exchange between professionals from the Caribbean nation and their hosts will be held today, where the main challenges of education in the Caribbean will be discussed.

Experiences from the project 'Prominent educators of the 20th century', which is developed throughout the country by the Association of Pedagogues of Cuba to collect information on teachers whose work has transcended in each locality of the nation, will be presented.

The event, sponsored by the Association of Pedagogues of Cuba, the Association of Educators of Latin America and the Caribbean and the co-auspices of the University of Guantanamo (UG), the Provincial Directorate of Education, the Jose Marti Cultural Society and the National Union of Historians of Cuba, concludes its scientific sessions today afternoon.

After the exchange of these teaching experiences, Dominican professionals will visit places of historical and political interest in eastern Cuba and exchange with professors and students from other provinces, until April 1 that the meeting concludes. (PL)
