Begins in Cuba modernization of printers of newspapers

Photo: Cadenagramonte.Havana, Jun 7.- The process of modernization of the printing units of newspapers was recently initiated in Villa Clara.
The purpose is to provide polygraph in the country of a technology capable of print periodicals in four-color process, that is to say, in colors and respond to the demands in terms of capacity and speed.
This is a holistic program, which is expected to exceed the one-year duration and will cover the rest of the entities participating in the process of editing, production and distribution of newspapers in the country.
This first stage is the most complex, taking into account that the Havana graphics unit took over the production of national and provincial newspapers corresponding to the central region, due to the stoppage of Poligrafico Villa Clara.
Such a situation, coupled with years of exploitation of the existing machinery and the lack of spare parts, has led to delays in the logical distribution of newspapers in the west and center of the country. (Cadenagramonte)
