National Symphonic Orchestra of Cuba proposes concert with music by López-Gavilán

Photo: CadenagramonteHavana, Jun 12.- The National Symphonic Orchestra of Cuba will offer a special concert the next June 17, in this capital, which will be devoted to the music of the master Guido López-Gavilán, reported the organizers.
The recital, set for 11:00 local time, will be the headquarters of the Covarrubias hall of the National Theater, and will be recorded live by the record label Hummingbird Productions in order to develop a disk with major symphonic works of this prestigious Cuban artist.
Recognized compositions as Guaguancó, Night and Songs of Orishas will form part of the program, which also includes the bandit and Overture pictures from another exhibition, this last based on five anthological works of Cuban plastic.
Directed by the musician himself, in the concert will participate as invited the percussionists Justo Pelladito and Yaroldy Abreu.
López-Gavilán excels within the cultivators of symphonic music in Cuba, for his outstanding work as a composer, teacher, and conductor.
His work has a wide international repercussions to be included in the repertoire of several formations symphony, that appreciate it for its high artistic and nest flight European and African roots.
To qualify for the National Music Award in 2015, López-Gavilán directed from more than two decades ago the grouping of Eternal Music camera, with which it has presented on stages all over the world. (Cadenagramonte)
