Cuban judokas to attend World Championship starting tomorrow

Foto: Cadenagramonte.Havana, Sep 19.- The ten Cuban judokas that will participate from next September 20th to 27th in the World Championship of Baku, capital of Azerbaijan, are ready to face that tough contest, which will be attended by 800 athletes from 129 countries.
The Cuban men’s squad, coached by Julio Alderete, is made up by Osniel Solís (66 kg), Magdiel Estrada (73), Asley González and Iván Silva (both 90) and Andy Granda (+100).
While the women’s team includes Melissa Hurtado (48), Anaily Dorvigni (57), Maylin del Toro (63), Kaliema Antomarchi (78) and Idalis Ortiz (+78).
Idalis Ortiz, Olympic and universal medalist, who appears 11th in the world ranking, leads the Cuban delegation, followed by Antomarchi (12), Silva (18), Solis (23), del Toro and González (28), Estrada (41), Granda (48), Dorvigni (57) and Hurtado (110). (Cadenagramonte)
