Cantata to pay tribute to Fidel in the 2nd anniversary of his death

Photo: CadenagramonteHavana, Oct 29.- The Singing Academy Mariana de Gonitch announces on November 25th the Cantata Voces de la Patria, in this capital, dedicated to Commander in Chief Fidel Castro, on the occasion of the 2nd anniversary of his death.
The meeting will take place in the Museum of the Revolution, at 3:00 pm., and it will include a select repertoire of epic and patriotic melodies, said Hugo Oslé, director of the renowned group, whose name pays tribute to the famous Diva of San Petersburg in a press conference.
Oslé said that with this performance, the group will evoke the leader of the Cuban Revolution, which is an inspiration and guide for its young members, who will honor Fidel this way, whose legacy is to them an example to follow through his whole life .
The Singing Academy Mariana de Gonitch will perform on November 14th this year, at 3:00 pm., the concert Mujeres cubanas honran La Habana, in the Centro Balear, greeting to the half-millennium of the town of San Cristóbal, to be held in 2019.
This will be dedicated to prominent women in culture, defense, education, sport and science, and it will consist of a repertoire of patriotic melodies and with great Cuban musical roots, including Cualquier lugar es mi tierra, Amigas y la salida de Cecilia Valdés.
According to Hugo Oslé, on November 16th, at 5:00 pm, in the Cristo de La Habana, the musical group will offer the special concert Fidel es Cuba under his direction which, he said, is dedicated to the 499th anniversary of the founding of the town of San Cristóbal de la Habana.
Among other songs, he said, La victoria, La Bayamesa, El Mambí, Cuba, que linda es Cuba and La Lupe will be interpreted, just to cite some of the most well- liked and the belong to the repertoire of the company, which already has through 10 years of experience and successes due to the quality of their patriotic and genuinely Cuban voices as well as the content of the melodies they offer to the public.
