Panama City.-Happy of the result and in a very good mood, the mentor of the Toros de Herrera team, Manuel Rodríguez, said that this Caribbean Series was the party of the guests, in reference to the performance of his team, champion of the tournament, and that of the Lumberjacks of Cuba.
"Definitely, it's the greatest triumph of my career as an athlete and director," he said, in anticipation of the journalists' question.
"I'm happy because we worked hard and led a hard-working team that does not give up, that comes out to play the nine innings ... and here's the result," he said.
He was also able to appreciate the virtues of the opponent. "The Cuban team is a tremendous team, of tradition, which always gives battle, congratulations to them too," he said.
Two of the pillars of the Toros de Herrera team, the shortstop Javier Guerra, the most valuable player in the match, and the closer Manny Corpas, agreed in their assessment: unity among all, that led us to victory. (Cadenagramonte)
