When appearing in the radio-televised space Mesa Redonda, Acosta called the consultation a great political victory due to the overwhelming response of the people, Prensa Latina points out.
It is not an abstract document, it is endorsed a political system and the defense of the rights of the inhabitants of the Caribbean island, said Acosta.
He pointed out that the referendum data are extraordinary, since the Magna Carta has a remarkable legitimacy, because it was built by the people who recognize their contributions in it.
Those who did not vote for the Yes cannot be seen as contrary to the system, some have other cultural patterns, for example, regarding marriage, nor can anyone be judged for their absence, Acosta clarified.
This process showed that everyone in Cuba counted, those who said Yes and those who marked No on the ballot, Acosta emphasized.
At a time when the unviability of the socialist system is being raised, Cuba ratified its social process by reaffirming that capitalism will not be back to the Caribbean island, Acosta said.
Cuba is an alternative, we are building it, and that is what hurts the enemies of the Revolution, said the secretary of the Council of State.
The Constitution is approved, ratified, but there will be an official proclamation within the National Assembly of People's Power and will come into force once it is published in the Official Gazette, Acosta said.
We will have structural and legislative changes, in fact we were already working on it, for example, there will be changes in the laws in civil, criminal, labor and other branches of law, he said.
The law of laws is accompanied by a legislative development, but it becomes a dead letter. In that sense, we work in coordination with jurists, professors of the Faculty of Law and experts from various institutions, argued Acosta.
He considered that the first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba, Raúl Castro was the helm of the construction of this constitutional process.
With the principles of the Commander in Chief, Fidel Castro, and the support of several generations of Cubans, we build the future, said Acosta. (RHC)
