'Six years of heartfelt absence of Cuba's best friend', wrote the president in his account of the social network Twitter, which has 104 thousand followers.
Díaz-Canel asserted that the legacy of the founder of the Bolivarian Revolution is present in those who defend this process in the face of the aggressiveness of the United States, which daily scales in its actions to impose a regime change in Caracas.
'The sons of the Bolivarian Revolution today pay tribute to him, fighting bravely. In them Chávez lives, with his love and his courage, "he said.
In various parts of the island, tributes to the so-called Commander President are planned today, with a central act at the headquarters of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP). (PL)
