In statements to the sports newspaper Jit, the federation explained that although the picture is clear in most divisions, they waited for the celebration of the boxing Gala that this Sunday brought together the main figures of the country in the Sports City of this capital to define the cast.
"This event is part of the evaluation process, and therefore we wait for its results to make the team official," said Puig.
The tie for the multi-sport continental event will take place from April 2 to 11 in Managua, Nicaragua, and according to the head coach, Rolando Acebal, Cuba will combine there the purposes of advancing all his men and updating themselves around the rivals that will face in Lima.
The poster today served to 'round up' the decision on who will make up the Caribbean squad, the strongest amateur boxing in the entire planet.
In total there were 11 battles, although according to the aforementioned media, the greatest expectation reigned over the supercompletos of +91 kilograms, between the young Dainier Peró and the experienced José Ángel Larduet. (PL)
