Public Press Festival highlights day of that Cuban sector

Photo: RHCPhoto: RHCHavana, March 11.- The Cuban Press Day will have a special moment next Wednesday, the 13th, at the Public Press Festival, the town's press, will be held, starting at 10 in the morning, at the capital's park Coppelia Wifi.

This initiative will bring together journalists from the print, television, radio and digital press, the national media and the capital, with whom the public can talk and learn how journalism is done in the country, as well as having firsthand the various publications and programs in which they work, reports the newspaper Juventud Rebelde.
 
Ricardo Ronquillo Bello, president of the Union of Journalists of Cuba, assured that the celebrations this year have as main incentive to stimulate the construction of a new model of socialist press, and in it the constant exchange with the people is vital.

This will be a space to stimulate the closeness between audiences and executives, journalists and other press professionals to highlight the strength of what it means for Cuba in this context that we live to have a broad and well-structured public press system, said .

Those who arrive to the Coppelia Wifi park will be able to interact with the technologies available to the media, attend the presentations and book sales of the editorials Pablo de la Torriente Brau and Abril, as well as take home digital materials such as magazines, multimedia, mobile applications and others produced by our media.
 
Likewise, they can enjoy the works of cartoonists, and exchange with sportsmen, comedians and renowned troubadours such as Mauricio Figueiral, Rey Montalvo and other members of the Hermanos Saíz Association. Also from the rock band Divergente and diverse gastronomic offers. 

Add the newspaper that to close the Festival, just at four in the afternoon, will come the singer, composer and trumpeter David Blanco. The young musician, considered one of the most talented Cubans in the pop-rock category, will join the celebration to give to Cuban journalists and to those who wish various themes of his wide discography.
