Photo: PLHavana, March 19.- Cuba condemned through its Foreign Minister, Bruno Rodríguez, the aggressiveness against Venezuela of US President Donald Trump, who insisted on affirming that Washington is evaluating all options to overthrow the constitutional government of Nicolás Maduro.

'I strongly reject and denounce the McCarthyism of President Trump and his imperialist reiteration of the Monroe Doctrine. Cuba will continue to be free, socialist and supportive of Venezuela in the face of the threat posed by 'all the options on the table' as reiterated, 'he warned in his account on the social network Twitter.

Rodriguez ratified the island's position after the statements of the US head of state in Washington DC, where he received his Brazilian counterpart, Jair Bolsonaro, a politician who has also taken a hostile stance against the Bolivarian Revolution.

The United States leads actions to impose a regime change in Caracas, a crusade that has as its spearhead the humanitarian issue and the recognition of the self-proclaimed interim president Juan Guaidó.

Cuba has been among the most active countries in denouncing the aggressiveness of Washington and the danger of military intervention against the South American nation, included in the phrase "all options are on the table" repeated by US officials. (PL)
