Cuba looks towards the XVIII Pan American Games in Lima

Foto: JITHavana, 25 mar.- Cuba's willingness towards the XVIII Pan American Games in Lima continues with the aim of closing the classification and the attention to the final stage of preparation of individual athletes and teams.
A report from the Directorate of High Performance of Inder, updated until March 19, confirms the presence already assured of 350 athletes and the expectation of arriving at a figure higher than 400.
The spaces are divided as follows: open water (4), diving (1), swimming (3), artistic swimming (9), water polo (22), athletics (30), badminton (6), handball (28) ), baseball (24), boating (12), cycling (12) and fencing (14).
The list continues with artistic gymnastics (10), rhythmic (6) and trampoline (1); field hockey (32), karate (3), weights (8), wrestling (6), women's (6) and greco-roman (6), Basque pelota (11), rowing (24), skating (3), pentathlon (5), softball (15), taekwondo (7), table tennis (6), shooting (15), archery (4), sailing (5) and volleyball (12).
The current delegation of 200 men and 150 women can still add a top figure of 87 athletes, with the greatest responsibility in charge of athletics, swimming, boxing, judo and boxing, in a relationship of 11 disciplines.
As reported, our country will no longer intervene in more than 140 of the 422 tests convened in the Peruvian meeting, which will require efficiency to achieve the intended objectives.
In this sense, the desire to overcome what was done in Toronto 2015 (97: 36-27-34 / 4th place) is ratified, a goal that can be translated into obtaining more golds, more medals in total or a better place in the table of positions.
