Photo: GranmaCiego de Ávila, May 9.- After successfully managing the Manzana Kempinski Grand Hotel, in Havana, the Swiss group launches into the warm waters surrounding Cuba and will open at the end of this year Cayo Guillermo Kempinski Resort, in advanced phase of construction.
According to the website of the Swiss company, Cayo Guillermo ... will open its doors in the second half of this year and will be a unique Resort, at the gates of Playa Pilar, named as the yacht of the famous American novelist Ernest Hemingway, who sailed in repeated occasions by those seas of the north of the country.
Iyolexis Correa Lorenzo, delegate of the Ministry of Tourism in Ciego de Ávila, assured Granma that the construction of the tourist complex is a reality, is in the final stage and will have 245 rooms, including suites and bungalows.
According to the description of its design, advanced by the Swiss company, its structure will resemble the prow of a ship that advances towards the Atlantic Ocean, and, once the hotel is opened, will offer the most demanding guests of the brand an experience of exclusivity and privacy, away from the hustle and bustle.
This page shows that among the 245 rooms there are six villas on the water with stunning panoramic views and towards the sea, very close to the highest sand dune in the Caribbean.
