In program execution to support health in Villa Clara

Photo: Juventud RebeldeVilla Clara, May 30. - A set of new works, other monitoring and the introduction of equipment are planned this year in this province, aimed at strengthening the infrastructure of Public Health.
The approved for this purpose exceeds 17 million pesos, distributed in 11.2 million assigned to repairs and maintenance, and just over six for investments, including the purchase of medical equipment and other supplies.
The information provided by the architect María del Carmen González Otero, head of the Investment Department of the provincial directorate of Public Health, states that the program covers the 13 municipalities of the territory.
Among the actions of improvement, of different magnitudes, stand out those destined to 12 hospitals, 25 polyclinics, 101 doctors 'offices of the family, 34 pharmacies, maternity and nursing homes and grandparents' homes.
There are also those related to the expansion of the Ernesto Che Guevara cardio center, where the completion of the consultation area, repairs at the Arnaldo Milian Castro Clinical Surgical Hospital, among these, the second phase of an intermediate therapy room, as well as the renovation of enclosures of the Celestino Hernandez Robau assistance center, both of this city.
The plan also includes executions in the residual treatment systems of the Daniel Codorniú Pruna hospitals, in Placetas, and December 26, in Remedies, while in the equipment section there are means for laboratories and others consigned to treatment.
González Otero explained that the plan has among its aims to solve paralyzed services and the improvement of its sustainability, the extension of benefits and the improvement of the infrastructure in the maternal and child program.
