Electoral Authorities Certify Outcome of Local Elections in Cuba

Havana, Dec 1.- The Cuban Electoral Commission (CEN) has reportedly certified the outcome of the election of 11,415 delegates to Municipal Assemblies of the People's Power, held on November 26, which was the first stage of a process that will wind up with the election of the island's new president on February 24 next year.

HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 1.- The President of the Cuban national People´s Power Assembly (parliament) Esteban Lazo Hernandez convened this Friday the Tenth Ordinary Session of the Eighth Legislature for next December 21.
