My Backyard Also Produces, movement with impact in coastal zone

Photo: AuthorSierra de Cubitas, Aug. 14 - In response to the call to boost agricultural activity, the La Gloria community, in this demarcation, hosted the provincial event Mi Patio Also Produce.
The initiative corresponds to the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC), of the territory, selected as the national headquarters of a broad movement that stimulates food production and community self-supply with family leadership and the prominence of women.
In the Popular Council La Gloria Piloto, there are more than a thousand courtyards, of them more than 600 with a variety of productions among which banana, squash, cassava, fruit trees and ornamental plants, as part of a sustained work of Urban and Suburban Agriculture, in northern Camagüey.
Yodelkis Fajardo Orihuela, maximum representative of the women in the province of Camagüey, recognized in the tour of the coastal area the impact that the family has today in the linkage to agricultural tasks, a result that supports the status of National Vanguard, and the act provincial by August 23 that obtains the FMC, in Sierra de Cubitas.
