Pepito Tey Special School.
Sierra de Cubitas, 10 nov.- Sierra de Cubitas works to improve the conditions of students with special educational needs through the use of a coherently articulated system that favors their schooling and proper incorporation into social and working life.
In this sense, the new headquarters of the Special School Pepito Tey, located in the Cubitas Community, has a positive influence on the education of the children enrolled there.
According to the information offered by Osmel Gil González, director of that institution, the center has an enrollment of 47 students divided into five groups and a faculty staff prepared to teach the students.

This pedagogical group is also composed of five Masters in Educational Sciences, two support teachers and two that directly attend children in their homes in case of presenting any health or personal problems, three workshop professors besides Surami Fonseca García, integral teacher of the center.

Among the advantages of the new premises are the conditions of the classrooms and the availability of Information Technology and Communications depending on the educational teaching process

Un complemento importante para el aprendizaje de los menores lo constituye el fondo bibliográfico disponible en el centro, al cual también tienen acceso los profesores para su preparación, como explicó Neyi Figueroa Parra, bibliotecaria del plantel escolar, quien también destaca la prioridad que para la escuela tiene el estudio de la obra martiana y del Comandante en Jefe Fidel Castro Ruz.

On the other hand, the proximity of the Municipal Center of Diagnosis and Guidance (CDO) allows to give a better follow-up to the children while keeping together with the school adequately informed to the family on how to support the education of their children.
