Pioneers in Sierra de Cubitas recall disembarkation of Granma Yacht

Pioneers at Hero de Yaguajay Primary School.Sierra de Cubitas, December 2th.- Sierra de Cubitas´ inhabitants celebrate with joyousness the 61st anniversary of the disembarkation of Granma Yacht´s expeditionary force, a feat led by Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz that helped achieve the dream of national liberation.
The educational system in this northern municipality develops an assortment of activities to honor the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, on the first anniversary of his physical disappearance and events linked to his fruitful revolutionary work.
Poetry and painting contests, photographic exhibitions, making models of historical sites and special meetings like the one held at the Héroe de Yaguajy Primary School, are some of the actions carried out to reaffirm the love of everyone to whom he dedicated his life to battle for the welfare and happiness of all.

Once again, the condition of the Commander in Chief of being immortal was confirmed by his legacy, work and unlimited vision, generosity, heroism and courage, human values that today strengthen the education of children from Sierra de Cubitas, as well as, those of the country. (Photos: Autor)
