Everlasting surveillance and control of Aedes aegypti in Sierra de Cubitas

Photo: Archive.Sierra de Cubitas, Dec 7.- Despite the low rate of infestation of Aedes aegypti, operators of the Antivectorial Campaign in Sierra de Cubitas continue with inspection labors in all the communities.
Those actions deal with a work system that includes the prophylactic and preventive efforts of the Department of Hygiene and Epidemiology´s members from 13 de Marzo Polyclinic, which are also complemented by the Family Doctor's Offices linked to community avoidance actions.
Current weather conditions compel inhabitants take important sanitary measures such as the systematic collection of solid waste, educational talks with the sanitary brigades as well as the activation of neighbors´ commissions, proceedings that can help diminish the presence of the damaging vector.
Positive results at the epidemiological control means for the population of Sierra de Cubitas keep the perception of risk in preventable diseases transmission, something possible if individual and collective responsibility is consciously reinforced.
