Values education opportunely applied in Sierra de Cubitas

Students at High School Orlando González./Phto: ArchiveSierra de Cubitas, Dec 12.- Undoubtedly, what teachers have done since many years ago in this northern territory of the province of Camagüey towards the value education of children is something needed to improve continually in favor of them as individuals and as members of the Cuban society.
To do this, it is worth mentioning the different ways of teaching values educators make use of whenever they consider them necessary because they find certain values important for their students which they express in the interaction with the schoolboys.
Not only primary but also secondary schools in this territory look at educational concepts that deal with human aptitudes in education such as critical thinking, moral development and love for the Motherland, heroes and martyrs of the nation.
One of the educational institutions that highlight the most this essential task is Forjadores del Futuro Primary School where humans values like dignity, respect, honesty and truthfulness are visible and repeatedly taught
Something important to add is that teachers although they pay attention to differences in values, often deal with those they find important taking into account the students´ special educational needs.
That is why, Sierra de Cubitas´ educational system implements a values-based curriculum that reflects a social morality, matter requiring the family’s help because it cannot be forgotten that children and teenagers as the rest of human beings lives in a global-society and none of them subsists in isolation, having at the same time the effect of others.
The most fundamental goals of values education in Sierra de Cubitas is to give the students the tools to do what is right, acting always in the interest of the collective and humanity as a whole.
