Sierra de Cubitas, 4 abr.- Cuban youth is celebrating. The José Martí Pioneers Organization (OPJM) and the Union of Young Communists (UJC) have been created for years. They are the quarry, the future, the fundamental clay of the Revolution.

To celebrate in large, varied activities preceded this April 4, including a productive day in areas of the Basic Unit of 35th Anniversary Cooperative Production, which also had the support of workers, political and government leaders and members of the Base Committees of the UJC.

With the youth of many and the experience of others, melon and cassava plantations were cleaned, crops that are in high demand by the population, and with their own initiatives, those who excelled in the work were encouraged.

For the young people Javier Ibañez Echemendía, Yanilesis Leyva Ávila and Lianis Isaguirre Solano, these productive days are another way of contributing to the economy of the territory and the country.

Reinier Socarrás, general secretary of the youth organization in this municipal territory, described the mobilization as very productive, taking into account the mass, color, organization and enthusiasm, together with the productive contributions.

The celebrations begin with the viewing of the convocation to the XI Congress of the UJC for 2020, which will take place this April 4 in Birán, Holguín, where the Commander in Chief, Fidel Castro, was born on August 13, 1926. (Photos: Author and Georgina González Melendrez)
