USA ordered to block the assets of Venezuela

Photo: RHCWashington, Aug. 6 - The president of the United States, ordered to block the assets of the official entities of the Government of Venezuela that are in that country.
The decision was imposed after the signing of an executive order, which also prohibits the completion of transactions with the South American nation.
This measure arises days after the statements given by Trump from the White House, the seat of the Government, when he was consulted by journalists if he considered escaping the blockade imposed and he said yes.
"All assets and interests owned by the Government of Venezuela that are in the US (...) are blocked and cannot be transferred, paid, exported, withdrawn or otherwise treated," the decree refers.
The executive order will take effect immediately, adding to the coercive measures Trump has implemented during his term to harm the Venezuelan people.
In the afternoon, Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodríguez denounced a US-led transnational legal coup against the country to appropriate its natural resources.
"They sanctioned the oil, Citgo, sanctioned the gold, sanctioned the Venezuelan debt. It is already a transnational international operation, directed from the US Government, as they have directly recognized," said the official. (RHC)
