The appointment is scheduled for December 12 at the conference center La Seine Musicale complex, south of this capital, headed by French President Emmanuel Macron; the Secretary-General of the UN, Antonio Guterres; and the president of the World Bank Group, Jim Yong Kim.
According to the organizers, 'two years after the historic Paris Agreement, it was time for concrete actions' and the conclave will be aimed at three axes: acting collectively, innovating and being supportive.
'The center of the event will be to determine how those working in public and private finance can innovate to support and accelerate our common efforts to fight climate change,' they said.
The summit will be held in the morning in four thematic panels: Scaling-up finance for climate action; Greening finance for sustainable business; Accelerating local and regional climate action; and Strengthening policies for ecological and inclusive transition.
For the afternoon the plenary session is scheduled with the presence of high representatives of many countries, and speeches of the co-presidents of the event are foreseen.
In parallel to the summit, from December 10 to 13, numerous activities will take place in Paris organized by public, private and associative actors, aimed at participating in the dynamics of mobilization and the implementation of concrete solutions in favor of climate action. (PL)
