Tegucigalpa, Dec 18 (Prensa Latina) The candidate for Opposition Alliance against the Dictatorship, Salvador Nasralla, called the president of Honduras, Juan Orlando Hernández, impostor who was declared last night winner of the November 26 controversial elections.
'It is clear that there was fraud before, during and after the elections. The President of the Republic at this moment is an impostor, and the Honduran people know it, told 'Nasralla in a video posted on social networks.
Nasralla traveled to Washington to meet with OAS executives and US officials, with a view to finding an international response to end the political and institutional crisis in Honduras, which has already claimed the lives of about 20 people.
On the other hand, the general coordinator of the Opposition Alliance, former president, Manuel Zelaya, said that they do not know the official declaration of the Supreme Electoral Tribunal (SEC), which they accuse of forging a fraud in complicity with Hernández.
He also rejected the position of the European Union, considering that it endorsed the fraud and criticized that the TSE's statement was made at times when Nasralla was in mid-flight to Washington.
He also called on Hondurans to take to the streets to defend the will of the people expressed through the ballot box, which-he said- gave Nasralla the victory.
The TSE, 21 days after the elections, declared Hernandez as president-elect after noting that he obtained 42.95 percent of the votes compared to a 41.42 percent reached by Nasralla, who at all times reported the occurrence of a fraud against him.
Meanwhile, the Organization of American States (OAS) questioned the decision of the Court and proposed new new elections, given that the process presented irregularities and deficiencies, while calling it a very low technical quality and lacking integrity.
'The Honduran people deserve an electoral exercise that provides democratic quality and guarantees. The electoral cycle that the SEC closed today (Sunday), has not been clearly, 'the OAS said in a statement.
According to the OAS, the only possible way for the winner to be the people of Honduras is a new call for general elections. (PL)
