Venezuelans to Vote With Digital Card in Next Elections

Photo: CadenagramonteCaracas, Mar 16.- Venezuelans will use a tactile membrane or digital card in the elections of next May 20, informed the main rector of the National Electoral Council (CNE in Spanish), Tania D'Amelio.
In an interview with Venezolana de Television, the official highlighted the inclusion of that technology as a novelty in the elections, to choose the president of the country for the period 2019-2025 and the state and municipal legislators.
The CNE confirmed the start of the selection process of the members of electoral tables and boards, for which posts more than a million persons volunteered.
Luis Piedra, Secretary of the National Electoral Office of Planning and Dependent Organisms to the CNE, detailed the data handed by aspirants to political organizations with candidates from the election campaign.
The information contains the electors duly registered in Venezuela, eligible to make up the electoral organisms for 24 regional boards, 335 municipal boards, 71 parochial boards and 33 thousand 783 polling centers, said the Venezuelan News Agency.
'Those persons selected total one million 32 members of subordinate organisms that will attend elections 2018, to be held on May 20', stressed Piedra. (Cadenagramonte)
