Eradicate racial discrimination, a topic that occupies the General Assembly

Photo: PLUnited Nations, March 25.- The UN General Assembly is holding a commemorative meeting in occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, recently held on March 21.
The opening speech will be in charge of the Secretary General of the United Nations, António Guterres, who has made a global call to combat racism, discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance.
According to his menaje on March 21, at the moment there is an increase in xenophobia, racism and intolerance throughout the world.
No country or community is immune to racial and religious hatred and intolerant terrorism, he said and stressed that unity is vital to uphold the principles of equality and human dignity.
We must work harder to repair the fissures and polarization that prevail, we must promote mutual understanding, and counteract and reject the political figures that exploit the differences to obtain electoral gains, he called.
He also asked all people to be involved in the dismantling of the noxious idea of racial superiority.
