According to diplomatic sources, the parties also noted the favorable framework for strengthening ties at the multilateral and bilateral levels, with emphasis on the economic-trade and cooperation sectors.
They also agreed to deepen cooperation on priority issues for both states, such as strengthening multilateralism, confronting climate change, protecting the oceans and conserving marine biodiversity, said a statement.
The Cuban ambassador expressed his gratitude for the traditional position of Monaco in favor of the Cuban resolution against the blockade imposed by the United States against the Caribbean country.
Likewise, the Cuban diplomat updated the Monegasque holder on the recent decision of Washington to activate the application of Title III of the Helms-Burton law, which deepens the extraterritorial nature of the blockade and affects the legitimate interests of European countries in Cuba.
Both diplomats also exchanged about regional issues and the international agenda. (PL)
