Photo: RHCCaracas, May 21.- The Oclae could not be anywhere other than in Venezuela, as it did 60 years ago, because here there is a people and a Bolivarian and Chavist Revolution, said in this city Mirthia Brossard Oris, president of the Continental Latin American and Caribbean Student Organization, to inaugurate its 18th Congress, which is based in this nation.
His words came after five thousand young people from the great homeland toured the recently inaugurated Cinta Costera, located in La Guaira, capital of the state of Vargas, to concentrate on the Bolívar-Chávez plaza, the largest in the region.
There, on Monday evening, the opening of the largest student concentration on the continent took place, before which the President of Oclae ratified the strategic importance of the organization at the moment as an articulating entity of the student movement and for the unity.
Next, the top representatives of the host student organizations welcomed delegates and guests to the 18th. Congress, and shared the emotion of having them at home, for unity, the anti-imperialist struggle and an emancipatory education.
As a culmination of the day, the message of Nicolás Maduro Moros, the legitimate president of Venezuela, was heard. Before the audience, his special envoy, the young Héctor Rodríguez Castro, governor of the state of Miranda, transmitted to all of them a revolutionary greeting and a hug full of love and affection, sent by the Venezuelan leader.
He also praised the look, the smile, the energy and the utopia of the youth of our continent. "All this, he said, helps us recharge the batteries to keep going. You are the reason for being so much effort, "he added.
The entire march of more than four kilometers away and the opening of the CLAE was a tribute to Bolívar, Fidel and Chávez, who are the heart of the people and guide us in our struggles. After witnessing a moving documentary about the life and work of these three great men, there was loud applause, slogans and cheers for our America. (Cadenagramonte)
