Orlando, June 19. - The US President, Donald Trump, started the official launch meeting of his re-election campaign with new attacks against the media, usual targets of criticism of the president.
A few minutes after the beginning of his speech at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida, the Republican leader pointed to the different journalistic organizations present in the place and said: 'there are many false news media back there'.
The head of the White House, who has come to describe the media as 'enemies of the people', said that if there had been an empty seat tonight in the sports hall, the press would have made a news of that, and held that the place was full.
Also, the president said that the 2016 elections, in which he imposed on the Democrat Hillary Clinton, were "a defining moment in the history of the United States."
Ask them, he said; pointing to the media present in the place, and before the pronouncements of the president against the journalistic organizations, the thousands of people attending the event chanted 'Tell the truth' and 'CNN sucks'.
Although this is the official launch of his re-election campaign ahead of the 2020 presidential election, since his inauguration on January 20, 2017, Trump has held dozens of rallies of this type in different states of the country, several of them in Florida. (RHC)
