U.S. vice president calls for overthrow of Venezuelan government

Caracas, January 23.- The United States is continuing to ratchet up pressure on Venezuela in what appears to be part of a coordinated effort to remove constitutionally-elected Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro from office. On Tuesday, Vice President Mike Pence posted a video message on-line, telling Venezuelan opposition leaders and protesters that the U.S. fully supports their efforts to overthrow Maduro.

United Nations, January 22.- The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) says more than 250 Palestinians have been killed and over 23,000 injured by Israeli forces since the Great March of Return rallies began along the border between the besieged Gaza Strip and the Israeli-occupied territories on March 30, 2018. 
Caracas, January 21.- The Venezuelan Ministry of Defense announced Monday that the Bolivarian Armed Forces have repelled an attempted attack on their facilities in Caracas.
