'Free Lula!' Protests Continue throughout Brazil

Sao Paulo, April 12.- Demonstrators, including trade union and political party representatives, marched through Brazil's largest city Sao Paulo late Wednesday chanting “Free Lula!.” The protesters are continuing a series of protests, which began last week, calling for former Brazilian President Luiz Inacio 'Lula' da Silva be freed from prison.



Gaza City, April 11.- In Gaza, Palestinians are continuing to pay tribute to the life of Yaser Murtaja, the Palestinian journalist who was shot and killed by an Israeli sniper while covering the Palestinians’ nonviolent protest last Friday at the Israeli-Gaza border. Israeli snipers shot and killed Murtaja while he was wearing a jacket clearly marked ”PRESS.”
