Lopez Obrador Maintains Lead: Presidential Poll

Mexico City, January 30.- Leftist contender Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador is leading the race to win Mexico’s July presidential election with the support of 32 percent of the voters, a survey by polling firm Buendia & Laredo showed on Monday.



Madrid, January 30.- Catalonia on Tuesday postponed the election of a new regional president until further notice after Spain’s highest court said the sole nominee, separatist leader Carles Puigdemont, was ineligible while he remains a fugitive from justice in Belgium.
Tegucigalpa, January 29.- In Honduras, U.S.-backed President Juan Orlando Hernández was inaugurated for a second term over the weekend amid massive protests denouncing widespread alleged voter fraud in the November 26th election.
