New Hotel In Varadero Stands out as Cuban Resort

Havana, Feb 6.- The development of tourism in Varadero, in the western province of Matanzas, highlights today the construction of a new hotel that rises at the entrance of the most important sun and beach destination.
A report from the Tuesday's Granma newspaper, adds that due to its design and majesty, the new Oasis hotel that rises right at the entrance to the resort of the western province of Matanzas will be very attractive.
The general director of the Company of Construction and Assembly of Works of Tourism of Varadero (Constructora Hicacos), Roberto Rovira, explained that the hotel complex will have more than a thousand rooms.
This facility will be marked by semicircular constructions, in the form of an arc, an unconventional scheme on the peninsula.
The work, in charge of the real estate company Almest and whose contractor is the Arcos-Bouygues Batiment International Economic Association, will also have a large shopping center.
They will include in this complex a sailor's walk thanks to the proximity of the Paso Malo canal, and many outdoor areas to add charm to the place.
In particular, the firm carried out works linked to the 325 anniversary of the city of Matanzas, a city that is extremely attractive for tourists visiting this country. (PL)
