Sierra de Cubitas, February 4 .- Today, Day of the Worker of Commerce and Gastronomy, the members of this sector in Sierra de Cubitas confirm their commitment to improve services to the population and continue increasing whatever initiative in favor of the welfare of inhabitants of this northern territory.

According to Yuniecys Fernández González, deputy director of oversight and control at the Municipal Company, workers with more than 25 and 30 years of continuous work in the entity are recognized, she also added that there are many reasons to celebrate this date taking into account the results in several economic indicators and the recovery of more than 20 centers affected by Hurricane Irma in September 2017.

This northern territory was granted a couple of acknowledgments by the Industrial Trade Enterprise Group for compliance with commercial circulation in 2017 and for the assistance provided to persons the meteorological phenomenon affected, which place Sierra de Cubitas among the first three of the province of Camagüey considering the abovementioned elements.

Today it is a day of celebration for those in Sierra de Cubitas and throughout Cuba linked to the Commerce and Gastronomy services in honor of the birthday of Fernando Chenard Piña, killed on July 26th, 1953, after the assault on the Moncada Garrison led by the Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz.
